When talking about DVR, some customers may mention 1U DVR, 2U DVR...What does 1U, 2U mean ?
“U” is short for Unit, represents the external dimensions of the server (unit of measurement: height or thickness). The detailed dimensions are determined by the American Electronics Industry Association (EIA), an industry group.
The specified dimensions of the server: the width is 19" (48.26cm) ,and the height is a multiple of 1.75" (4.445cm).
1U=4.445cm
2U=4.445*2=8.89cm
3U=4.445*3=13.335cm
4U=4.445*4=17.78cm
As DVR is similar as the server, so some people also use it to measure DVR.
Following is the general size of MVTEAM DVR:
67 series DVR:
